They

Load unload carry sweat

Boxes stack

Stock the fridge, don’t let regret

Cross their mind

They may find

Living as one brings them closer

This empty place won’t stay empty

His stuff and his stuff is their stuff

After all

Shopping for two at the store

They’ll have more than enough.

They’re a they now but not that kind

Couples aren’t found but designed.

He’s so fine carrying boxes

No-shirt Antinous of the foxes

He catches him glancing

Like that night they went dancing.

The smell of fresh paint

A black cat named Saint

They sweat as they move

Still hot and in the groove

Love is queerly inspired

No shower required

Breathe heavy take him in

Ecstasy is no sin

No sin

No sin

…then release…

Now the beast with two backs

lies sleeping between grocery sacks.
